For many years Truro River Rowing Club has an active Junior Section, for young people aged from 12 – 16 years.

We welcome totally new rowers, we can teach rowing skills, we encourage you to take part in races if you want to. Several regattas are held from March till October, where Junior races are held – there are even County Championships for under 14 and those under 16 years.

You get 3 free ‘trial’ sessions to see if you like it before you have to pay anything.
During the winter months from November to end of April our junior sessions run on Sunday’s this year we found it more successful to run them from 2pm
From 9th May our sessions are being held on a Tuesday evening from 5.30pm
The Truro River Rowing Club is a member of the Cornish Pilot Gig Association http://www.cpga.co.uk/
We operate within the safety procedures that governs the sport and provides standards, rules and policies for clubs. CPGA membership enables us to take part in racing events throughout the year. We ensure life jackets are provided for all junior sessions in accordance with CPGA rules.
What to bring/wear (depending on the weather):
• shorts or tracksuit bottoms
• t-shirt with short or long sleeves
• jumper / hoodie
• waterproof splash top or short jacket
• waterproof trainers/ shoes
• water bottle
• sun cream / hat
